3 Reasons Why You Should Get a Coach

Reason 1: Because it is very hard to get perspective by ourselves on what is happening in our brain.

How many times have you tried to make a plan and then decided to leave it for later? It is so hard to do it for ourselves… so, get a coach! Coaching helps you take control of your decisions and understand that you alone are the reason why something is not moving forward. Sometimes it’s the way we think about quitting or failing. It is ok to worry, and feel the way we feel. The question is: how do we choose to respond? Is something paralysing us? Do we feel like there is no meaning to our journey? Sometimes we need perspective in our lives. Coaching gives you just that.

Reason 2: Because you need to know what is cluttering your mind and help to find solutions for it.

It is not just knowing what is on your mind, it is analysing those thoughts and understanding what needs to go or stay! This happens at work but in our personal lives as well. What is it that you want to have less of and more of? How do you want to focus your time? How often have you been stuck, and not sure how or where to start? Coaching can unlock those blockages by pushing you outside your comfort zone.

Reason 3: Because you can learn tools to help yourself for the rest of your life.

A great thing is that coaching is not a static experience. You get fantastic tools /exercises that you can use again and again – in other times or situations. A coach’s goal is to help you to help yourself. Understanding the reaction and what happens. Once you get better self-awareness with the help of a coach, you can just move on. You can get back in control of your own experiences, sometimes after doing just a few sessions, or sometimes with follow-up sessions every 6 months to a year, if needed. Coaching is not reliving your past, but reliving the peak moments of your life that gave you meaning or purpose.

Ps: Coaches usually offer a first free session. They like to call it a “Chemistry session”. Make the most of it! To find out more about my Chemistry sessions, please see my next blog post.

17 Dec, 2025

A few weeks ago, during a group session, we had a conversation that stayed with me, not because of what was said, but because of what wasn’t. We were discussing communication and confidence when one of my clients mentioned something interesting. She said she’d been told that in her meetings, she “didn’t allow enough pauses.”And… Continue reading Women, Pauses, and Power: Reclaiming the Space Between Words

Warmth + Competence = Charisma: The Confidence Equation No One Talks About

03 Dec, 2025

If I asked you to think of someone truly charismatic, what comes to mind? For most people, charisma feels like a mysterious trait. Something you’re either born with or you’re not. But in truth, charisma is something we build. It’s not a performance or a personality type; it’s the ability to help people feel both… Continue reading Warmth + Competence = Charisma: The Confidence Equation No One Talks About

Micro-Moments of Connection: The Small Gestures That Build Trust

16 Nov, 2025

When we think about communication, we often focus on what we’re saying: the words, the message, the delivery. But the truth is, the things that matter most often happen in between the words. Those small, almost invisible gestures (the nods, the eye contact, the pauses, the smiles) they are what I call micro-moments of connection.… Continue reading Micro-Moments of Connection: The Small Gestures That Build Trust
